Finding the right location:If you do not own the property yet, finding the right site can be a painstaking task. If you have flat terrain all you need is to build a tower high enough to make it where you want to go. However, most ziplines are not on flat terrain and you will have a more difficult challenge in finding the location and verifying that it is suitable for a zipline or not. Send us the grid coordinates and we’ll answer that question for you.
The post and/or tower design depends on your budget, length of the zipline, estimated speed and the available braking distance. It is all determine by the catenary and clearance study that define the sag, tension, clearance, available braking space etc.
The engineering is important for structures to withstand the calculated design loads. Most of foreign countries will need a local engineer to stamp the plans. We offer engineering services in all provinces in Canada and foreign engineers is typically referred by client.
Typically, on international installation, a local contractor is doing the site work. On every project, our architect is supervising the site work to make sure it is up to our standards and this service has a cost of $1,500/week, usually included in our honoraries.
Installation is performed by professional Ascensacion’s riggers once the site work and structures are erected. As long as the agenda permits, the owner of our company will oversee the installation from beginning to end. This insure that everything goes according to plan.
This is the most important element of the installation. Once we have the cables installed, we proceed with the braking system installation and testing. It is only when we are 100% satisfied that we can say the job is done and the zipline is safe.
The extensive training program can take up to a week or more in some cases. It is performed by at least one of our professional staff and includes a detailed manual that must be followed to the letter.
This is the moment to find out what works, and what doesn’t while in operation. Every zipline have a specific modus operandi and sets of procedures. This is why we do this soft opening; we stand back, observe and take notes to later modify the procedures if necessary.
This is usually when you get ready to make the last payment and enjoy your zipline as a successful owner.
